Safety Kayakers & Lifeguards
Outlaw Half is coming back to Holkham Hall on Sunday 3rd JulyHolkham Hall is once again hosting the Outlaw Half triathlon in North Norfolk on Sunday 3rd July and we’re currently recruiting the last few safety kayakers & lifeguards to join our water safety team for the event, where around 1500 participants will be taking to the water for the 1.2 mile half iron distance swim.
What’s required?
We’re recruiting a team of 25 safety kayakers & lifeguards to support the races on the morning of Sunday 3rd July. The role is to supervise the participants as they complete the 1.2m open water swim in the lake at Holkham Hall.
This cover can be provided by either rescue board or kayak. We do ask that team members are of a suitable standard to carry out the role, ideally meeting the following criteria:
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Competent paddler – of at least 2 star standard for kayaks
- Able to provide your own boat & kit (but speak to us if you can’t)
- If you hold one of the qualifications listed here it would be an advantage
Event Details
Outlaw half is an early start, but the nice thing about the swim is that it’s the first discipline and so it’s also finished first and the day will be short with a 08:30 finish time. You are also able to come down on the Saturday and camp overnight before the early Sunday morning start. Please find below some outline information about the event:

Timings: 05:30 – 08:30
Pay: £50 per kayaker/lifeguard
Camping: Is available on-site on the Saturday night
