Safety Kayakers

The Hever Castle Triathlon is back on the 24th & 25th September

The Hever Castle Triathlon is back at the iconic Hever Castle, Kent, later this month (24th & 25th September), and we’re currently recruiting the last few safety kayakers to join our water safety team for the morning of Sunday 25th September.

What’s required?
We’re recruiting a team of 30 safety kayakers to support the Gauntlet distance races at  Hever Castle Triathlon on Sunday 25th September. The role of the safety kayaker is to supervise the participant’s as they complete the 3.8km open water swim, in the lake within the grounds of the castle.

We do ask that kayakers are of a suitable standard to carry out the role, ideally meeting the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Competent paddler – of at least 2 star standard
  • Able to provide your own boat & kit
  • If you hold one of the qualifications listed here it would be an advantage
