Safety Kayakers
The Hever Castle Triathlon is back on the 24th & 25th SeptemberThe Hever Castle Triathlon is back at the iconic Hever Castle, Kent, later this month (24th & 25th September), and we’re currently recruiting the last few safety kayakers to join our water safety team for the morning of Sunday 25th September.
What’s required?
We’re recruiting a team of 30 safety kayakers to support the Gauntlet distance races at Hever Castle Triathlon on Sunday 25th September. The role of the safety kayaker is to supervise the participant’s as they complete the 3.8km open water swim, in the lake within the grounds of the castle.
We do ask that kayakers are of a suitable standard to carry out the role, ideally meeting the following criteria:
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Competent paddler – of at least 2 star standard
- Able to provide your own boat & kit
- If you hold one of the qualifications listed here it would be an advantage
Event Details
Hever Castle Tri is an early start, but the nice thing about the swim is that it’s the first discipline and so it’s also finished first. Please find below some outline information about the event:
Venue: Hever Caslte, Kent
Timings: 06:30 – 12:00
Pay: £65 per kayaker
Food: Breakfast is provided
Camping: Due to the early start on Sunday morning, camping on-site is available on Saturday night (free of charge).
