Water Safety Team

River Rat Race is back in Stockton on Saturday 19th August 2017

River Rat Race is coming back to Stockton for it’s annual visit in just a few weeks’ time (Sat 19th August) and we’re currently recruiting the last few members to join the water safety team for the event.

What’s required?
We’re recruiting a team of 40 safety kayakers and bank based staff to support the event on Saturday 19th August. The role of the team members is to supervise the participants as they complete the various water obstacles into and out of the water/river.

We do ask that team members are of a suitable standard to carry out the role, ideally meeting the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Competent paddler – of at least 2 star standard – kayakers
  • Able to provide your own boat & kit – kayakers
  • If you hold one of the qualifications listed here it would be an advantage

Venue: Stockton White Water Centre, Tees Barrage Way, Tees Barrage, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 2QW- Map here
Timings: 09:30 – 15:00
Pay: £70 per person
Food: Packed lunch is provided
