Kit & Equipment
This will be specific to the type of event that you are working, and you will be informed of any kit requirements/recommendations in the final details. General guidance on kit requirements for our various roles can be found here.
Uniform
There is no formal uniform; we merely ask that you dress suitably for the role you are going to be performing during each event.
To / From Site
Within reason, you’re able to wear whatever you’re comfortable wearing to and from event sites. However, should you wish to be “on-brand”, we do have Swim Safety crew tops and other branded kit items available from within the Kit Store (this is not compulsory).
Most importantly, think about the weather! Please come dressed for whatever the great British weather decides to throw at us.
When Operational
This will be specific to your role and the event. General guidance on what you should wear/bring can be found here to give you an idea of what you might need.
If there are any specific requirements for an event, this will be made aware to you in the final details.
Equipment
As a general rule, we do not provide any personal equipment required for the role you are applying for. You’ll need to be able to provide for yourself (eg. Your own kayak if you’ve registered as a safety kayaker or your own lifejacket if you’ve registered as part of a rescue boat team).
We have some great trade account discounts available from many of the UK’s leading kit manufacturers, so if you are in need of some equipment please take a look at the discounts on offer within the Kit Store.
We have some further team specific guidance, which can be downloaded from within our Useful Documents folder here.
