The Sign-up Process

If you already have an account and have filled in all of your details, you’re ready to start registering for events.

For a list of upcoming events just hover over the events tab at the top of the registration system.


The list of events you see can be filtered by location, team types and event type to help you make an informed decision on which events you’d like to work.

You’ll also be able to see some specific information for each event, such as exact location, timings (approx.), anticipated rate of pay and team size.

What do you do with my personal information?

Don’t worry your details will be safe with us, we won’t share them with anyone. We only ask for information essential for us to enable you to work. For more information, please see our Data Protection Policy.

How many events can I register for?

You are able to register for as many events as you like. Please do be aware of the different registration statuses – you may not be required to work at every event you apply for so ensure you check your e-mails on a regular basis for any registration updates/changes and the final details e-mail.

We would also ask that you are mindful of registering for events that are many months away unless you are confident that you will be able to attend.

What happens once I’ve registered for an event?

Once you’ve registered for an event, we’ll keep you posted with details as and when they become available. We will also aim to stick to the following timeframes to help you best plan:

  • We will confirm if you have a place on the team no later than 30 days out from the event (if your registration status is ‘Registered Interest’). If your status is REGISTERED – This means we have you on the event team and are expecting you to attend.
  • Final details for the event will be sent out no later than 10 days prior to the event
  • Provided your invoice/payment form is received by us within 4 days post event, we will pay you on the Monday 2 weeks post event (within 14 days of the events conclusion).

If the event you’ve registered for has one of the alternative status’s (click here), be sure to keep an extra careful eye on your emails as it’s likely we will be in contact with information/questions specific to you.

Once your registration has been confirmed for any given event you will be contacted by the person responsible from Swim Safety with further details. The final details, including details of the venue, timings, pay, parking, access and what kit you’ll require will be communicated to you via email, normally between 2 weeks – 10 days prior to the event – so don’t worry if you’ve not heard anything before this time.

Unless you tell us otherwise, if your registration status is ‘Registered’ for any given event we assume you will be attending. If this is not the case, it’s really important you let us know ASAP so we can offer your position to someone else.
